Privacy

This site counts visits only if you say yes. It shows no ads and keeps no messages. You can change your answer below.

What is collected

If you say yes, I use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how people use the site. It records:

  • which pages you open, and for how long
  • the site or link that sent you here
  • your device type, browser and screen size
  • your rough location, such as your country or city. Google works this out from your internet address.

Google Analytics ties this to a random ID in two cookies on your device, called _ga and _ga_YRFRDW6DCQ. They do not hold your name or your email address.

Google handles this data for me. Its own privacy policy applies too.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it keeps short server logs, such as internet addresses, to keep the site running and safe.

What is not collected

  • There are no ads on this site.
  • There are no accounts and no sign-in.
  • The contact form does not save anything on this site. A form service passes your message to my email inbox, and I read it there.

Your choice

Analytics stays off until you say yes. A small banner asks once. Your answer is saved for a year in a cookie called analytics-consent, and you can change it here at any time.

This only affects the browser you are using now. Clearing your cookies brings the question back.

You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker.
